Beta Testing the BoardSpark:
No-Ask Fundraising Deck

The BoardSpark No-Ask Fundraising Deck beta is a 3‑month, real-world pilot with a small group of nonprofit organizations. During the beta, you will use the deck in live board settings so we can refine how it works and measure its impact on board engagement in fundraising.

This opportunity is designed for organizations that want to increase fundraising participation without adding more staff time, bandwidth, or burnout. The aim is to help you move toward “10x donor engagement” by activating the board you already have.

Beta Details

Who should participate?

The beta is a strong fit for:

  • Nonprofits under roughly $5 million in annual revenue

  • Human service and animal service organizations

  • Executive directors and development leads who want more from their boards than “just showing up”

  • Board chairs who know their board members care, but aren’t sure how to plug them into fundraising

  • Support organizations (like funders, associations, or capacity builders) that want a simple, replicable tool for the groups they serve

If your board is willing but unsure, and you’re tired of having the same vague fundraising conversation over and over, this beta is for you.

What beta testers receive

Organizations that participate in the 3‑month beta will receive:

  • A physical copy of the BoardSpark No-Ask Fundraising Deck

  • Guidance and support from BoardSpark throughout the beta period

  • Suggested agendas and prompts for using the deck in real board and committee meetings

  • Simple tracking tools to capture how board members engage and what changes over time

  • A customized end-of-beta analysis summarizing:

    • How your board used the deck

    • What shifted in engagement and confidence

    • Practical recommendations for next steps to keep momentum going

The goal is to help you increase board-driven donor engagement without increasing staff hours, adding new FTEs, or building a complicated new program.

What’s expected

To make the most of the pilot, participating organizations agree to:

  • Commit to a 3‑month beta period

  • Use the deck in at least 3 board or committee meetings during that time

  • Identify a primary point person (ED, development lead, or board chair) to coordinate the pilot

  • Complete brief check-ins or surveys so we can understand what’s working and what needs refinement

  • Be open to sharing specific examples and stories of how your board used the deck (with permission)

This is not about perfection. It’s about trying the tool in real life, seeing how your board responds, and helping shape a product that can dramatically increase board engagement in fundraising.

Why Now?

  • You get early access to a tool designed to multiply donor touches and board-led outreach, without adding to staff to‑do lists.

  • You benefit from personalized support and a tailored analysis you can use in future planning and board development.

  • You help shape a product that could transform how small and mid-sized nonprofits invite their boards into fundraising.

You bring the board. The deck brings structure, clarity, and confidence. Together, the aim is to 10x your board’s meaningful participation in fundraising, without 10x-ing staff time.

COMING SOON:
Digital Version of the Deck

The current beta invitation is for the physical BoardSpark No-Ask Fundraising Deck, designed to be used in live, in-person board settings.

A digital version, ideal for virtual or hybrid boards and remote facilitation, is in development and expected to be ready for testing by early summer.

Organizations interested in participating in the beta are invited to complete the pilot interest form, which will be used to determine the most appropriate version and next steps.
