
Chair & Officer Leadership
BoardSpark Chair & Officer Leadership Training is a focused development track for board chairs and officers who want to lead with confidence, clarity, and partnership. This program recognizes that a strong chair–CEO relationship and active officer team are key to a high-functioning board.
Over a typical 6-month training track, participants will:

Learn how to design agendas that drive outcomes instead of updates, and how to facilitate meetings that invite participation while staying on track.

Practice healthy chair–CEO communication rhythms so the CEO is supported, not surprised or sidelined.

Gain tools for setting expectations with fellow board members and handling common challenges such as low participation or off-topic conversations.
The training is structured as a series of scheduled sessions, each with a clear learning objective, discussion prompts, and practical tools to implement between meetings. Chairs and officers finish the program with both knowledge and confidence to lead the board as a cohesive governance team.
Typical investment: $3,000–$8,000 for a 6‑month leadership training track.
