BoardSpark Chair & Officer Leadership Training is a focused development track for board chairs and officers who want to lead with confidence, clarity, and partnership. This program recognizes that a strong chair–CEO relationship and active officer team are key to a high-functioning board.​

Over a typical 6-month training track, participants will:

• Learn how to design agendas that drive outcomes instead of updates, and how to facilitate meetings that invite participation while staying on track.

• Practice healthy chair–CEO communication rhythms so the CEO is supported, not surprised or sidelined.

• Gain tools for setting expectations with fellow board members and handling common challenges such as low participation or off-topic conversations.
   

The training is structured as a series of scheduled sessions, each with a clear learning objective, discussion prompts, and practical tools to implement between meetings. Chairs and officers finish the program with both knowledge and confidence to lead the board as a cohesive governance team.​
