Resource Activation

The BoardSpark Resource Activation Workshop is a skills-based training that helps board members understand how they can practically support fundraising and resource development—even if they don’t see themselves as “fundraisers.” This workshop is designed to lower anxiety, build confidence, and equip board members with tangible ways to help.​

In this workshop, participants will:

• Learn the many roles board members can play in resource development: connectors, storytellers, stewards, advocates, and more.​

• Practice simple, relationship-centered outreach strategies—such as making introductions, hosting small conversations, and following up with thank-you notes.

• Receive scripts, examples, and prompts they can personalize, so they are never left wondering what to say or do.
   

The tone is practical and encouraging, emphasizing partnership with staff and small actions that add up over time. Board members finish the workshop understanding that they can contribute in ways that fit their personalities and networks, without being pressured into roles that don’t suit them.​

Typical investment: $1,500–$3,000 per workshop, with options to add follow-up training sessions.
